The lantern

There's a whispering shadow
it stands on my doorstep
It's a world that calls and waits here
You don't know where this will bring you
but your window will shine in the darkness
if you say yes

Our world is not enough
surviving alone is not enough
for us, living between worlds
for us, curious travelers
Even before understanding
we had decided where to go
Here, amongst these unknown shadows
stand still and listen

I want to be someone with a thounsand homes
someone who never stops
I want to be someone who collects the truth
in silence

What you give will come back
and the heart will be healed

There's a world imprisonend in the world around us
It's the glory and the dirt of humanity
There's a lantern at my window
Do you want to enter, to wait here for the dawn?

This is a mad quest, an endless road
a journey through the shadows, a life on the border
You challenge the darkness
collecting faces and stories
Give a name to those you'll find on your way

I want to be someone with a thounsand homes
someone who never stops
I want to be someone who collects the truth
in silence

What you give will come back
and the heart will be healed

Even before understanding
we had decided where to go
Here, amongst these well known shadows
stand still and listen

I want to be someone with a thousand homes
someone who'll never feel lonely
I want to be home for you
I want to untie the knots of the darkness
I want to win the world with you
